What makes you proud to be a part of the Little Schools?
I am proud to be part of a program that helps facilitate children’s learning through play and exploration and is a fun, creative space for early educators to create meaningful learning experiences.
What's something that always makes you smile?
I love my job, it brings me a lot of joy, as well as spending time with my family and cats
More About Kelsey
My journey as an Early Childhood teacher began nearly 10 years ago while working with infants and toddlers and earning my ECE credential. I’ve spent six years as an Infant/Toddler Teacher in a Montessori setting and have continued working closely with young children as an Infant/Toddler Teacher and Primary Caregiver. Supporting children during their earliest years is something I truly love and find deeply rewarding.
I believe children thrive in thoughtfully prepared environments that invite exploration, nurturing care, and joyful learning.
I was born and raised in the East Bay and enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, gardening, and being with my family. I also have two cats I absolutely adore! Music is a big part of my life, and it’s one of my favorite ways to connect with children.
I’m so looking forward to getting to know the children and families at Rockridge
What’s your superpower in the classroom?
Connecting and communicating with my students, their families and colleagues.
What makes working with young children special to you?
Being an infant and toddler teacher is special to me because these early years are the foundation for everything that comes later. I find it incredibly meaningful to support children during a time when they are learning to trust, communicate, and understand the world for the first time.
