I have over ten years of professional experience in working with children. I discovered my passion for tI was very young when I first realized that I wanted to work with children. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Business Management Economics I worked at Prospect Sierra Elementary School for six years.  While there, I served as the After School Assistant Director and a Primary Substitute Teacher.  I then moved to Beijing, China and taught Kindergarten at American House Preschool for two years. 

These positions ultimately served to remind me of what I have known all along: I love to teach! Returning to California I decided to continue my education in the field of Early Childhood Education. 

In my free time I enjoy running and exercise.  I recently got married to the love of my life, Sissi.  One of the passions we share is a love of sports.  While we both root for the majority bay area teams, none more so than the Golden State Warriors.  Go Dubs! I was drawn to Rockridge Little School because of the children, families, and teachers.  I also feel that the teaching philosophy of the school is very in tune with my own. I take great pride in helping children develop, and I believe that the most direct influence on development is in the classroom. RLS provides the freedom to foster independence in children and gives them room to grow. I strive to make a difference in children’s lives and I feel the best way I can accomplish this is as a teacher at Rockridge Little School.
