I was born and raised in a small neighborhood along the Panama Canal, where I was the oldest of three and the unofficial leader of all the neighborhood kids. I was always the one organizing adventures, looking after the little ones, and making sure everyone was having fun — I think that’s where my love for nurturing and teaching really began.
Both my parents are American, but I went to a Spanish-speaking school in Panama and became bilingual early on. Being able to connect with people in both English and Spanish has been such a joy and something I love bringing into the classroom.
Before joining The Little School, I spent ten years working in the food and hospitality world — cooking, baking, and creating experiences that brought people together. I loved that work, but something was missing. When I took a break and started nannying two toddlers, everything clicked. I realized that helping little ones grow, explore, and find their voice was exactly what I was meant to do.
I’m so excited to start this new journey with Berkeley Little School and to work alongside such inspiring teachers. I can’t wait to bring my passions — from baking and cooking to learning where our food comes from and exploring the outdoors — into the classroom to create a space that’s nurturing, joyful, and full of discovery.
